Tim Cotton was born and raised in Edmonton Alberta and has been performing professionally since 1988.  He was exposed to music and musicianship at a young age due to his Dads influence as a professional musician in Edmonton from 1958-1987. Tim has a command of the piano and guitar as well as drums and is an accomplished singer.

In the beginning of his career, he played in a number of notable bands in the Edmonton area.

 In 2009, he joined the Dueling Piano Team at "The Red Piano" in West Edmonton Mall.  As of January of 2017, The Red Piano was sold to the Wow Entertainment Group and is now called "Aussie Rules Kitchen and Piano Bar".  Tim currently entertains there in addition to co-operating a dueling piano show with Kelly Nall under the name of "Court Jester Pianos".
